ASU Post-Tension Concrete Safety Course

Anyone working with, or around, post-tensioned concrete needs to understand the hazards involved in working near these reinforcing steel tendons that are typically stressed to 33,000 pounds of force.  This one day class will review the principles and basic theory behind prestressed and non-prestressed concrete and will cover the procedures involved in the safe installation and stressing of post-tensioned reinforcing systems. Discussion will also include the steps that a controlling contractor should take to insure the safety of other trades working on and around these operations and the finished structures.
